I had been growing my hair out since September 2006. On January 5th, 2009, I had a 10.5 inch ponytail cut off for donation to Beautiful Lengths (a charity formed by the American Cancer Society and Pantene) for use in making a wig for a woman who has lost her own hair while battling cancer.
The continuation of work last night was a little less than thrilling. However, it was such a minor thing to suffer when compared to the glorious event that the night held in store. Friends, food, and laughter. Smiles, sangria, margaritas, and perhaps one or two people who had a little more to drink than the rest of us. However, all's fair in the Tara-dome, as Benji took his rightful place as Celine Dion's right hand in her Las Vegas war machine and this year's SYTYCD came to a close.
There was also a hat placed upon my head, with which I quickly fell in love. Wendell and I share joint custody, but the hat will be staying with me.
A haircut will be needed soon, I think. I enjoy my bangs growing out, but I'm skirting the edge of mullet territory with these curly locks in the back. I'll have to collect some opinions on the matter; please feel free to share yours.
